BOOKS & LIQUOR
Books & Liquor is a prolonged photography project that depicts Harvard, exploring a sense of place through people.
For 4 years, I photographed the students, professors, tourists, and pedestrians whose sartorial expressions colored the area with a diverse flair.
The images are displayed publicly via a blog. When viewed as a corpus, they collectively evoke sense of place, identity, and culture.
At its height, Books&Liquor received 10,000 unique hits per day. It has been featured in USA Today, Nylon Magazine, BostInno, and Boston Globe, to name a few. Photos from the project have also appeared in Huffington Post and Policy Mic.
